Opening Ceremony of Constructing 10km Railway and a Mosque in Aqina Station

The construction work of a 10km railway as an extending line in Aqina station, and construction of a mosque was launched on Wednesday (Nov. 21, 2018) with the participation of the high level government official of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan in Faryab province.

Director General & CEO of Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA), District Governor of Ankhoy, Mr. Sanjar, Hajj and Religious Head of Faryab province, Turkmenistan Ambassador to Afghanistan, Deputy Ambassador of Afghanistan in Ashqabat, and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan participated the opening ceremony.

This is when ARA and the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on construction of railway line for the development of Aqina Station in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan recently. With these lines, the capacity of imports and exports is tripled.

It mentionable that the required funds for 10km of railway line in Aqina station is funded by the Afghan government.
