Introducing a New Approach for Monitoring Contracts

National Procurement Authority (NPA) officially introduced the Afghanistan Contracts Progress and Monitoring System (ACPMS) to the leadership board and procurement department of the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) on Tuesday, Dec 18, 2018.

ACPMS is a digital medium in national language which introduces a new approach for managing and monitoring contracts in Afghanistan. It provides access to at least three users:

  1. Leadership Board
  2. Contract Manager
  3. and Afghan Contractors.

Director General & CEO of ARA appreciated NPA officials for their cooperation in providing such a medium and training ARA procurement staff with such a digital medium.

He added that ARA implements its Administrative, financial and management system based on Afghanistan Railway Law, as he called for attention of ARA Procurement department to carry out this responsibilities accordingly.

Meanwhile, NPA officials and staff has been training the procurement staff of ARA to improve its capacity, and utilize the new digital approach as needed.

Furthermore, ARA awarded certificate of appreciation to Sayed Oliya Hafed, Mohammd Dawood Yaqoubi, and Dolya Akbari, professional staff of NPA, for their efforts and competence in introducing this new system.
